RESPECT SELF-ESTEEM LEADERSHIP DISCIPLINE FOCUS CONFIDENCE

Some commonly asked questions...

At what age can you start?

Students can start as young as four years! And there is no limit to how old you can be! Our staff is capable of teaching young children without parent enrollment, although parents are more than welcome to join as well!

What programs do you offer?

Is it safe?

Do I need to be in shape to begin?

No! We'll help you get into shape once you join! Plus, most adults enjoy martial arts so much that they find additional ways to improve their health, strengthen their body, and enhance their cardiovascular endurance in order to improve their martial arts performance.

What style do you teach?

We teach mixed martial arts. Eighteen years ago, we started teaching several different diciplines including pressure point karate, small-circle jujitsu, grappling, sparring, in-close self-defense, weapons, and many more. We believe one dicipline in martial arts is not truly as effective as a multi-disciplinary approach.

Is it true that martial arts teaches children respect and discipline?

Not true! Martial arts is a form of combat fighting. It is up to the school and Master Instructor to implement respect and discipline. At Whitney's Karate America, we proactively develop respect and discipline. Martial arts is the tool we use to reinforce those skills along with many others, including positive attitude, confidence, control, self-esteem, and leadership, while at the same time building friendships and having fun!
